REFORMER PILATES COMING IN MAY

At Serenity Fitness we simply want you to move more in order to live better. Your body deserves the opportunity to move. Movement isn't a chore, it's a blessing. We also believe rest is important, therefore there will be reduced opening hours during on the May bank holidays Mondays 10am fitness class only.

PILATES REFORMERS WILL BE HERE MID MAY (FINGERS CROSSED)

The timetable will get a reshuffle then, but in the mean time make the most of the brighter mornings with an early morning workout at 7:15am on Wednesdays and Fridays.
You must book in for these classes by 10pm the night before - no one wants to wake up early and no one show up .

MAY FITNESS PROGRAMMING

Monday - Strength circuits
Tuesday - Core & Conditioning
Wednesday - Strength circuits
Thursday - Core & Conditioning
Friday - Strength circuits
Saturday - Whole body circuit
Strength circuits will follow the traditional strength split of push, pull and legs over the three training days. You'll notice the workouts will combine strength and cardio conditioning. Get ready to really push yourself.

Core & conditioning will have you activating your core muscles and using the cardio machines.

Circuits will have you moving your whole body across a variety of movements for a set period of work and rest

MAY PILATES PROGRAMMING

So far we have mastered the glute bridge, the roll up and the hundred...what's next...? The mat classical Pilates move to focus on during May will be Teaser 1.

See you on the mat Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30 pm and Saturdays at 11 am.
Dress appropriately, recommend wearing slipper socks so you don't slip on the mats and keep your feet warm, and if you prefer too, then please bring your own mat.

Please remember to make the coach aware of any body niggles that you have, a quiet word in the ear and we'll change the programming slightly to suit your body.
And as always you get out of the workout what you put into it.

REFORMER PILATES AND MAT AND REFORMER PILATES CLASSES COMING SOON

Serenity Fitness together with Bear Necessities of Strength (Anne) are bringing five reformer Pilates to Serenity Fitness by mid May (fingers crossed).


We'll be making some changes to the Pilates timetable in a matter of weeks with the introduction of the Pilates reformers...more will be revealed over time....but for now we are offering an 'Introduction to the Reformer' class for £20 and then after that you can buy Pilates specific 10 class passes or 20 class passes and monthly and for those who wish to compliment their fitness training we have 10 class passes and 20 class passes (valid for four months) as and when, but if you feel you'll be attending classes more regularly we do have a small uplift to your monthly membership.

Reformer, mat and combination of the two will be added to the timetable on evenings and weekends. What is a 'combination' (combo) class? We will perform Pilates for half of the class time on the reformer and the other half on the mat. You'll perform a similar workout, while experiences the feel of both the mat and reformer. Capped at 10 members with 5 on the mat and 5 on the reformer at one time.
When will they start? Mid May.

Will there be a charge? Due to the investment in the reformer there will be an additional charge for those that want to attend classes.
The Reformer Introduction class is capped at 5 members and is to demonstrate how to use the reformer safely, show you a few movements, sample the box and jump board and for the instructor to see how you move. The Reformer Introduction Class will likely be held on Sunday mornings or on the many bank holiday weekends during May (depending on when the reformers arrive).
10 class Pilates pass: This gives you access to 10 Pilates classes (mat, reformer and combo) at £7.50 per class (standard price elsewhere is £12!). The pass is perfect for 'once a weekers' to compliment fitness training. The 10 class pass is discounted and valid for four months for Serenity Fitness members.
20 class Pilates pass: This gives you access to 20 Pilates classes (mat, reformer and combo) at £7 per class (standard price elsewhere is £12!). The pass is perfect for 'twice+ a weekers' to compliment fitness training. The 10 class pass is discounted and valid for four months for Serenity Fitness members.

Upgrade your monthly membership: For £64 per month you will get unlimited reformer and combo Pilates classes to compliment your fitness training. Please ask Anne for more details.

For those of you who are Pilates-only members you will see a changes to the timetables in the coming weeks. Should you wish to continue to do mat Pilates you can do so, there will just be a slight change to the timetable. Should you wish to upgrade to reformer Pilates we have a variety of Pilates only membership on offer. Please ask Anne for more details.
